Surrounded by lovely countryside, Stourbridge is situated on the edge of the Black Country, less than 15 miles (25 km) from Birmingham, the UK's second city. Charming villages such as Kinver, Churchill, Belbroughton and Clent are just a few minutes’ drive away. Also, the Stourbridge Canal arm makes a lovely walk or bike ride, heading in the direction of Kinver. As a result, Stourbridge is an unusual mix of industrial and rural influences, giving it a unique character. The town centre features many well-preserved old buildings and plenty of interesting specialist shops. Great pubs and restaurants also make the town well worth a visit. Centrally located and just a few minutes drive from the M5 and M6 motorways, Stourbridge is easy to reach by road or rail.
When visiting this Black Country market town, don't forget to make time to visit the glass quarter, which is within easy walking distance of the hotel. Alternatively, Merry Hill Shopping Centre is just 2 miles (3.25 km) away and Birmingham city centre is just 25 minutes’ away by train. The West Midlands Safari Park, the historic Ironbridge Gorge Museums, Dudley Zoo and the Severn Valley steam railway are also fascinating local attractions that are within easy reach of the hotel.
By Car:
The hotel is located on Stourbridges main street.
- As you enter Stourbridge, there is a ring road around the town centre.
- Follow the ring road to the multi-storey car park and look for the Talbot Hotel sign on the side of the car park, which points the way to the entrance to the hotel car park at the rear of the hotel.
Guests are advised this hotel is totally non smoking.
The restaurant focuses its attention on traditional English cuisine with a modern flair, using fresh ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible. The service is attentive without being obtrusive.
The hotel’s bar offers a relaxed atmosphere, in which guests can enjoy a drink from the extensive selection on offer.
