Located in the business area of Ponferrada, the hotel is very close to the Railway Museum which includes a collection of different types of locomotives. The old train station building has an exhibition of drawings, graphic design and a library that provide a deep knowledge of the locomotives and the mining activity of Ponferrada until the 20th century.
In the city centre, just a 10-minute walk from the hotel, you will also find Templarios Castle. Museums of interest include the Bierzo, De la Radio "Luis del Olmo" and the Museum de las Cofradías, most popular during Holy Week..
Las Medulas, listed as World Heritage, is located just 23 km away on the N-120 road. This area contains the most important gold mine in the Roman Empire. You can arrive by car, but we recommend that you walk the last 1.8 km to enjoy the nice landscape.
