Located in the village of Noordhoek, in an evergreen valley between towering mountains and sandy beaches, Afton Grove Country Retreat is midway between Cape Town and Cape Point.
Visit nearby Fish Hoek or Simons Town. Several award-winning restaurants are just a short drive away and a modern shopping centre with 100 shops, restaurants, banks, gym and a cinema is within walking distance.
■ By car
From Cape Town International Airport:
▪ Take the N2 West in the direction of the City (+/- 12 km).
▪ Follow the left link onto the M3 (look out for a sign indicating Kirstenbosch).
▪ Continue south along the M3 until the T-junction at the end of the freeway (+/- 15.7 km).
▪ At this T-junction, turn right onto the M42 for a further 1.25 km and then bear left on to the M64 in the direction of Simonstown / Fish Hoek / Cape Point.
▪ Follow the scenic mountain pass in the direction of Fish Hoek / Cape Point (+/- 10.2 km).
▪ Take the second Noordhoek turnoff right M6 towards Hout Bay / Chapmans Peak (Pick 'n Pay on corner).
▪ Travel 300 metres on this road (M6) and Afton Grove is on your right (opposite BP service station).
From Cape Town City Centre:
▪ From the Waterfront junction travel south east on the N2 for 6km, keep in the right hand lane and this motorway now becomes the M3.
▪ Follow the last 5 steps above.
Start your day with a hearty farm-style breakfast, including free-range eggs and homemade breads and jams. Early birds can enjoy breakfast early on in the morning.
The dining area and adjoining lounge are the ideal spots to indulge in dinner. Packed lunches as well as a traditional South African braai can be arranged upon request.
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 91 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled up to 46 days before date of arrival, 25 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 21 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children older than 10 years are welcome.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged ZAR 185.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
Deposit Policy: 50 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.
VAT and city/tourist taxes: 14 % VAT is included.
Service charge is not applicable.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.
Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and charges are applicable.
Meal Plan: Breakfast is included in the room rate.
Parking: Free private parking is possible on site.
Pets: Pets are not allowed.
