Hotel Rauter -

The family-run Hotel Rauter in Matrei in East Tyrol is only few minutes’ walk from the valley station of the “Grossglockner Resort” ski area.
Behind the distinctive façade lies an Alpine resort hotel with tradition and a modern ambience. The hotel offers cosy rooms, residences with balconies to the garden and 2-level maisonettes with panoramic balcony and mountain view.
The heart of Hotel Rauter is its large lobby with an open fireplace and a small library. There is also an elegant bar, a café, 3 restaurants, a breakfast room with terrace and an underground car park.
There is also a free shuttle service to the valley station and back.
The hotel has been owned by the Obwexer family for many generations, who personally take care of their guests. Even in the early days of tourism, it was already an insider tip among artists and travellers to the Alps from all over the world.
